Job Description
Job Objective
To assist in carrying out field service tasks (integration, installation, commissioning, modifications and upgrades) in line with the customer contract as directed by the Technical Support Manager, to ensure that the customer\'s equipment and systems are installed, maintained and serviced in a cost effective, professional manner. The successful candidate must be prepared to travel at short notice to any location worldwide.
Main Tasks
To provide off site service to Communications Ground and mobile activities, with special emphasis on data communication equipments. This will be to provide off site Field Engineering support to all communications terminals at Ground stations, Tactical Antennas and onboard naval ships
Site management/Supervision of installation work, system fault finding, system testing and commissioning on subjects from data to RF including mechanical are the main areas of work
To configure and commission networking equipment such as, Voice Over IP function, Cisco Data Routers and Switches, Multiplexing Equipment, data exchanges, Passport Switch and lower level Crypto.
