Job Description
Senior Procurement Manager - MCIPS - required for high profile Government organisation based in London. Working alongside the existing account manager you will provide professional advice & support to customers on all aspects of non-ICT/Estates procurement (EU Directives, ensuring value for money & legal compliance), support and embed procurement best practice, ensure sound commercial contracts are negotiated, provide assistance to clients with contractual issues, ensure relationships with Directorates are well managed and to be able to understand and communicate the Departments priorities, and ensure objectives are aligned with them.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
MCIPS qualified, previous specialist experience in procurement (leading or supporting significant procurement exercises in the public sector), recent experience of OJEU issues, exp of Buying Solutions tendering processes, excellent communication skills & the ability to influence at all levels and previous experience of working in a complex, dynamic high profile environment where the customer may not always be procurement aware.
