Job Description

Purchasing & Stock Controller - IT Industry London NW7 £16,000 - £18,000 DOE Plus Private Healthcare (after 6 months\' service) Our client is a leading voice and data systems integrator, delivering the benefits of converged communications to commercial organisations and public sector clients. Always at the forefront of technological innovation, they delivered their first IP telephony solution in 1994. An opportunity has now arisen for a Purchasing & Stock Controller to join their team. For this role our client is looking to recruit a hands-on, enthusiastic candidate with purchasing experience gained within the IT industry. As a Purchasing & Stock Controller you\'ll be responsible for a range of duties; ensuring purchase orders are correct and items are in place ready for delivery. This will involve managing relationships with suppliers, checking prices and producing monthly reports in order to provide insight into stock availability and the effectiveness of suppliers. Your duties will include: * ensuring purchase orders are raised and correct * checking all prices, delivery schedules and terms * chasing and tracking delivery dates, escalating late deliveries * tracking and matching invoices * maintaining the supplier list * dealing with returns * preparing shipments, determining the most economical and efficient shipping method To be considered for this position, you must have purchasing experience gained within the IT industry. You will also need to demonstrate the ability to communicate at all levels, good IT skills and ideally, proficiency using Sage and Excel. Additionally, as a Purchasing & Stock Controller you should be a good problem-solver with the ability to generate ideas and solutions. Most importantly, you will need a positive attitude to working with customers, both internal and external, and excellent organisational skills. Candidates must live within a commutable distance of London, or be willing to relocate.
