PCB Design/Hardware Design Engineer - Hertfordshire Position Title: PCB Design/Hardware Design Engineer - Hertfordshire. Key Skills: * Schematic capture in Orcad, Allegro, Cadence or Mentor Graphics tools * Visio/EasyCAD * RTL (VHDL and IBIS) programming * DRAM, SRAM, SDRAM Design and Timing Experience: * Interpreting the requirements from system specifications and/or verbal inputs (completion of the specification of) the detailed requirements of the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly * Creation of the schematic including creation of library elements using schematic capture tools such as ORCAD. * Experience using Orcad Layout and Orcad Capture. * Schematic experience in Orcad Capture and completely layout and route a board in Orcad Layout. * Must be able to design and develop of complex and detailed layouts of printed circuit boards. * Selection of components for the subject PCB * Analog and digital circuit design of POL power supplies and the like as required * Participate in developing designs of new or modified high-density printed circuit boards. * High-speed design knowledge, especially layout for high-speed. * Knowledge of Networking and Protocols including Routers and Switches, ISDN, VOIP, Ethernet etc * Definition of the PCB including stack up * Multilayer printed circuit board design using Orcad/Allegro/Mentor Graphics design tools. * Component placement and Signal Integrity (SI) analysis. Familiarity with SI tools such as HyperLynx, SPICE, or SigExplorer is desirable * Complete documentation of the PCB design * Bring up and test of the subject PCB in both standalone and system environments If you are happy to travel locally and internationally as well as hold a Full Licence then this could be the ideal position for you.
