Leading Aerospace organisation require a Senior/Principal EPS Engineer to join their expanding team in Hertfordshire.
This role requires an all round knowledge of power generation, energy storage, power conditioning, power distribution and solar array drive mechanisms. The successful candidate will support he/she definition of power product policy definition; design, specify and support the procurement of power subsystems through all stages; support the definition and construction of the Power Product Industrial file; support the project at major reviews and throughout the programme by defining and managing the needs for EPS and mentoring/supervising junior engineers.
Candidates must have an understanding of relevant international power standards (ECSS) and some experience of data bus architecture and relevant standards (MIL, CAN, Spacewire, etc) would be desirable. Should have past experience or a working knowledge of power converter and general analogue circuits, various battery electro-chemistry and various photo-voltaic power generation systems. This person should have already operated at a senior or principal background.
Space industry background is highly desirable. though other aerospace background, eg aircrafts, will be considered.
